WHOLESALE DAY PORTER

The role

This role involves general warehouse duties to include, stock replenishment, goods in, picking orders and loading and unloading vehicles. Delivering excellent customer service by working flexibly as part of a team, ensuring stock is replenished, to achieve the Warehouse objectives and continuously improve the performance against set target.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all goods are picked from dispatch according to the picking procedure as well as ensuring all goods are assembled according to the assembling procedure.
• Complete administration of picking documents as required
• Ensure products that are picked are of saleable quality in accordance to the company policy – particularly H&S and quality
• Ensure the correct labelling of all orders ready for dispatch
• To replenish the Warehouse as and when required, ensuring that stock is always available for picking.
• Ensuring that all vehicles are loaded correctly and on time in line with the company load planner
• Ensure that all pallets are secure in accordance with H&S regulations compliance with H&S and Hygiene legislation
• Ensure all goods accepted are to the standard required by the Company, including temperature compliance , locate products as set out, rotating stock effectively
• To perform and other related duties and specific projects as assigned by senior management to contribute to the overall aims of North Down Group.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience

• Previous warehouse experience in a food environment is desirable
• Verbally communicates in a polite and clear fashion, conveys messages to team
• Good team player and good attendance record required.
• Strong attention to detail
• Constant awareness of quality of produce
• Health & Safety conscious at all times
• Forklift experience will be beneficial
• Uses knowledge to solve basic problems, makes routine decisions
• Is reliable and co-operative, demonstrating understanding of team work/interdependency
• Basic literacy & numeracy
• No experience necessary, but desirable

Hours of work

Hours of Work are Monday –Friday 04:30am to 13:00pm every other Wednesday off Saturday 04:30- 11:00am. Flexibility outside these hours may be necessary as agree with the Director

Night Assembler

The role:

To assemble orders of fresh produce in coordination with customer requirements and load vehicles ready for departure.

Key Duties/Activities:

• Assemble customers’ orders following written or oral instruction
• Load vehicles and assist drivers prior to departure
• Up to date knowledge of all products
• Ability to document and record appropriate information when required – in coming goods, shortages, quality.
• Consistent awareness of quality of produce.
• Ability to work to schedule and deadline.
• Keeping store and outside areas clean and tidy in accordance with company.
• Assist with the daily stock take in the stores.
• Pack produce correctly to requirements and load vehicle in correct manner.

Additional Skills/ Duties:

• Use of weighing scales
• Ability to work with team or independently to achieve a result
• Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative
• Knowledge and awareness of Company Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Use of both palette and forklift truck
• Good knowledge of produce
• Adherence to food hygiene regulations

Essential

• Previous experience working in a team environment
• Proven ability to prioritise own work and work on initiative
• Physically able as the position involves – lifting, climbing, stooping, walking, handling materials
• Good knowledge and understanding of English Language
• Numeric skills
• History of honesty in other posts
• Previous Warehouse experience

Desirable

• Knowledge of health and Safety, including COSHH
• Food Hygiene awareness or knowledge
• Previous use of forklift truck and/or palette truck

Hours of Work

1st week Monday to Thursday 16:30 to 01:00am. Friday 17:00pm to 01:30. Off every Saturday
then 16:30-01:00am on Sundays

2nd week: Off Mondays.

Tuesday – Thursday 16:30 - 01:00am and 17:00-01:30 On Fridays

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, organised, hard-working, IT literate Sales Administrator with the ability to work under pressure, problem solve, work to deadlines and maintain positive relationships with both customers and other members of the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of Administrative Support to the Whole Sale Department
• Assisting group credit control with ad-hoc reports
• Processing credit notes
• Assisting Accounts team with ad-hoc reports
• Sales administration, including processing orders
• Receive and process customer orders received by telephone, email
• Assisting stock control team
• To be a point of contact for customers with queries on products, orders and deliveries
• Check data accuracy on pricing and orders ahead of invoicing
• Liaise with our warehouse to ensure timely deliveries and that goods will be supplied to the customers specifications
• General office duties

•The ideal candidate will possess excellent telephone manner strong IT skills
• Strong organisational skills
• Excellent English, both spoken and written
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Have good time management skills
• They will also be comfortable with responsibility and with managing the delivery of a range of tasks to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact internally and externally
