Sales Development Executive
(Wholesale Division)

Responsible for (employees) – None

Main Duties

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining, growing and developing the existing customer base.

  • Reviewing weekly sales figures and profitability of accounts.

  • Building and maintaining good customer relationships.

  • Being the first point of customers with queries on products, orders, and deliveries.

  • Visiting customers and suppliers on a regular basis.

Essential Criteria

The post holder will:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years sales experience gained within a FMCG environment (in the last 10 years).

  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Have a proven record of improving a customer base and profit margins.

  • Have a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.

  • Have excellent computer skills including MS Office.

  • Have excellent presentation skills.

  • Have an analytical and commercial approach to business.

  • Have a track record of process improvement.

  • Have strong organisational skills.

  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Be able to manage his/her time effectively.

  • Be comfortable with responsibility and meeting deadlines.

  • Be able to quickly assimilate information.

  • Exude confidence in all aspects of the job.

Desirable Criteria

The post holder will:

  • Be self-motivated, reliable and have drive, commitment and energy.

  • Have strong diagnostic and problem solving skills.

  • Be a self-starter with a desire to improve all aspects of the Wholesale business.

  • Have experience in the Fresh Produce industry.

Salary

Negotiable depending on experience.

Sales Order Processor
(Wholesale Division)

Closing Date: 5 pm, 8th May 2025

Overall Job Role – The post holder will manage customer orders, ensure accurate data entry, and provide excellent customer service. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a team. The post holder will be a vital part of the Wholesale sales team and will ensure a seamless order processing process.  

The post holder will be expected to begin work each morning at 4.00am due the nature of the business.

Reports to: Business Development Manager

Main Duties

The post holder will:

  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, including order entry, data input., and order tracking.

  • Deliver exceptional levels of customer service by inspiring and engaging with each customer, addressing enquiries, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction and encouraging repeat business.

  • Monitor sales on a daily basis.

  • Maintain accurate records of customer orders and inventory.

  • Work closely with other team members, including sales and warehouse staff, ensuring that the order process runs effectively and efficiently.

  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in customer orders.

  • Support the sales team with order-related tasks including the generation of order quotations and pricing.

Essential Criteria

The post holder will:

  • Have product knowledge of fresh fruit and vegetables.

  • Have a proficiency in computer systems and software including MS Office and Excel.

  • Work well under pressure, and be able to demonstrate a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Have excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills.

  • Have experience of order processing and / or customer service in a very fast-moving sales environment.

  • Be able to learn new skills quickly in a fast moving and dynamic organisation.

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday – 4.00am to 1.30pm

  • Alternate Saturdays – 4.00am to 10.00am

Hourly Rate

Hourly rate is £13.00 with a review after 3 months.
