Assistant Manager

Reports to: 5PAC Manager

Overall Objectives – The post holder will assist the 5PAC Manager with the day to day running of the department. He / She will oversee stock control, ensure there is traceability on all produce, and ensure that all produce conforms to detailed specifications.

Responsible for – 5PAC Supervisor

Responsibilities

The post holder will:

  • Document quality assurance activities through internal reporting and audits.

  • Develop and improve standards for production process.

  • Oversee and report quality falls below standard and does not conform to specifications. The post holder will be responsible for administering customer returns and shortage sheets, and will investigate and report on quality issues, and ensure resolution in accordance with Company policy.

  • Ensure correct documentation is completed regarding internal and external audits i.e. label traceability, weight and packaging recording, and cleaning schedules.

  • Be the department point of contact with the Health and Safety Manager regarding all aspects of food and personal safety.

  • Conduct return-to- work interviews with staff after any periods of absence.

  • Use the Company stock control system to monitor and control stock and out of department.

  • Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs.

  • Supervise and motivate staff to perform optimally.

  • Make sure all employees adhere to the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines.

  • Ensure housekeeping is maintained to a high standard.

  • Assist the 5PAC Manager and / or Supervisor with the process of meeting customer deadlines.

Essential Criteria

The post holder will:

  • Have 10 years’ experience of work in a food-related industry (within the last 15 years).

  • Have 3 years’ experience of stock control.

  • Have an extensive knowledge of food safety.

  • Have extensive knowledge of food safety legislation.

  • Have a problem-solving attitude.

  • Display leadership and organisational strengths.

Desirable Criteria

The post holder will:

  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Have an ability to learn and work on a computer, using Company software and programmes.

  • Have a background in food distribution.

  • Hold a degree / diploma / qualification in food safety / hygiene.

Hours of Work

44 per week made up of Monday to Thursday 6.00am to 2.50pm, Friday 6.00am to 2.40pm, and alternate Saturdays 5.00am to 10.00am.

Salary

Negotiable.

Part Time Telesales / Customer Service Operative

Closing Date: 5 pm, 19th April 2024

Reports to: Customer Service Supervisor

Main Duties – The post holder will be enthusiastic, organised, hard-working and have the ability to work on their own initiative under pressure, problem solve, work to deadlines and maintain positive relationships with both customers and other members of the Customer Service team.

Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Providing a high level of sales support to Food Service sales staff

  • Receiving and processing telephone and email orders

  • Selling promotions

  • Assisting Sales Representatives with pricing and customer queries

  • Building and maintaining good customer relationships

  • Being the first point of contact for customers with queries on products, orders, and deliveries

  • Checking data accuracy on pricing and orders ahead of invoicing

  • Liaising with Warehouse staff to ensure timely deliveries and that goods are supplied to customer specification

  • Providing excellent customer services

Essential Criteria

The post holder will:

  • Be available to work the following shifts: Sunday 1.00pm to 5.30pm, Tuesday 1.00pm to 5.30pm, Wednesday 1.00pm to 5.30pm and Friday 9.30am to 5.30pm16 to 24 hours per week. Additional shifts may also be available.

  • Be flexible to cover shifts when required.

  • Have an excellent telephone manner.

  • Have excellent IT skills and be proficient in the use of MS Office and Excel.

  • Have strong organisational skills.

  • Have excellent use of written and spoken English with the ability to interact internally and externally.

  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Be able to manage their time effectively.

  • Be comfortable with responsibility and meeting deadlines.

Desirable Criteria

The post holder will:

  • Will have experience in the foodservice industry.

  • Will have worked in a telesales environment, processing customer orders.

Hours of Work

24 per week made up:

  • Sunday 1.00pm to 5.30pm

  • Tuesday 1.00pm to 5.30pm

  • Wednesday 1.00pm to 5.30pm, and

  • Friday 9.30am to 5.30pm

  • Additional shifts may also be available.

Salary
